Debbie Peterson (Prefers Republican Party)

Elected Experience: No information submitted

Other Professional Experience: My first career was in finance, starting out as a bank/credit union loan officer. I also worked for the Vancouver Housing Authority¸ as the Financial Specialist for their grant, no/low interest loan program. Implementing that program was very gratifying, as we worked to help Hough/Rosemere residents remain in their homes and reverse the trend from rentals back to single-family dwellings. My second career is Education. It is the motivation for my campaign.

Education: Northwest Nazarene University (Nampa, ID); B.A.Biology 3.1 GPA; Concordia University (Portland, OR) Teaching; Certificate. 4.0 GPA

Community Service: Member of Smarter Bridge Coalition.

Statement: Since 2004, I have advocated for taxpayers! Last December, I asked the County Commissioners to deny a 2012 - 1% property increase. They unanimously supported my request. Currently, I am a member of the Smarter Bridge Coalition. I have met with Oregon/Washington lawmakers, working on retaining the existing I-5 Bridge and establishing another, economical bridge, across the Columbia River.

I am asking for the support and votes of the great citizens of the 49th District. I will continue to work as hard for you, in Olympia, as I have, here in Vancouver. Thank you so much for your vote.
