Sherry Peterson(Nonpartisan) Judge Position 2 - Lewis Superior Court | Lewis Serving Lewis County’s people well as their Superior Court judge would be my proud honor. I bring to the bench impartiality, fairness, an open mind, and respect the interest of those appearing before the court. Born in Washington, I grew up the oldest of 11 children in a military family. I entered the UW as a single mother on welfare in 1983, after overcoming many hardships. I earned my degree in three and half years and was admitted to Harvard Law School, where I graduated in 1990. I’ve appeared in courts from King to Cowlitz County. I’ve served as a pro tem judge, court commissioner, and I’ve volunteered as a mediator. During my 17 years of practice I’ve litigated many types of cases: criminal, landlord-tenant, banking, personal injury, employment, dependency, and bankruptcy. I’ve handled a number of trials — some with more than a million dollars at stake. I work hard for my clients and I’ll work hard for our county as judge. In Lewis County’s 172-year history, no woman has ever been elected to this bench. It is time for a change and the excellence I bring to this position. |

Jim Lawler(Nonpartisan) Judge Position 2 - Lewis Superior Court | Lewis Service to community. That's a principle I grew up with, carried with me through college at Washington State University, and law school here in the Pacific Northwest. I've maintained these values over 24 years of law practice in Lewis County, values that my wife and I have taught our boys, and that remain with me today. It's been a privilege helping low-income people access justice as Lewis County Bar Legal Aid President and Volunteer Lawyer of the Year. I’ve had the opportunity to help clients in diverse areas of the law as a partner in one of the oldest law firms in our county. It is this commitment that my family and I have had to our county these many years that brought me to seek the position of Superior Court Judge. I have been honored to receive the endorsement of every Superior and District Court Judge in Lewis County including Judges Brosey, Hunt, Roewe, R.W. Buzzard, Commissioner Mitchell, and retired Judges Draper and Hall. They know this position requires experience, fairness, and good judgment. I'm Jim Lawler, and it would be an honor to serve as your Superior Court Judge. |

Being the Independent that I am, Wylie will seek an anti Harassment Order against the Prosecuting Attorney, Corporate Council, and four District Court judges, four Superior Court Judges, preventing them from being 300 feet of my place of employment as your Independent Senator. I want to privatize our Jail, and combine the County Building & Planning with the City of Yakima Building Departments, and put a stop to City Hall "Collecting unauthorized Building Permit fees" from selected Contractors. |

Curtis King(Republican) State Senator - Legislative District 14 | Yakima* P.O. Box 10025 Yakima, WA 98909 (509) 453-1431 curtisk@kbwood.com www.curtisking.org “Too much legislation from Olympia this year was not good for our Valley. They made it easier to raise property taxes, put off decisions to improve education while removing local control, moved toward socializing health insurance and failed to pass legislation to decrease crime. Nothing will change sending the same person back to the Senate. We need leaders who can solve problems.” – Curtis King A successful businessman, Curtis holds degrees in Physics, Math and an MBA. Well-known for his leadership skills and for bringing people together, Curtis gained Yakima the “All-America City” award. He worked to keep Regional Hospital from closing and chairs its board. He is working with the Gates Foundation for private funding for early learning, and has twice chaired the Central Washington Fair Association plus many community organizations. Curtis will work to improve education without raising taxes, stop over-regulation that harms businesses, stop the rising crime across our Valley and keep healthcare in the hands of the people – not the State. We need new leadership, new direction and common sense in Olympia. Curtis can get it done. This is why people all across our Valley are supporting Curtis King for State Senator. Brian Hatfield(Democrat) State Senator - Legislative District 19 | Cowlitz*, Grays Harbor*, Pacific*, Wahkiakum 226 Fir Street Raymond, WA 98577 (360) 942-5188 bhatfield@willapabay.org Vote to keep Brian Hatfield's energy, experience and effectiveness working for you! Upon his return to the Legislature, Brian was asked, once again to Chair the Coastal Caucus, which promotes rural economic development and works to bring fairness and compromise to the environmental decision making process. As a moderate, Hatfield respects and listens to all viewpoints and has worked well with both parties in Olympia. This common sense approach has provided real results for all of us here at home. It’s no wonder that he’s been endorsed by organizations like the Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs, business groups like the Washington Restaurant Association and scores of groups representing the working men and women of this community in organized labor. Senator Brian Hatfield is a leader who listens, and a senator we can count on. |

Jesse Ashe(Republican) State Senator - Legislative District 19 | Cowlitz*, Grays Harbor*, Pacific*, Wahkiakum 205 Holcomb Avenue Kelso, WA 98626 (360) 431-1976 Pacfan82@netzero.com Dear neighbors, don’t you want the best possible Washington? If you're like me you want to ensure that everyone can access affordable health care, you want our children to get the best possible education and you want $30 car tabs, property tax limits and other voter approved initiatives. You’re fed up with the arrogance of legislators who overturn voter approved initiatives and you’re fed up with legislators who don’t do enough. You want to use traps to catch pesky moles, you want to drive that old pickup without a burdensome emissions test and you want the state's agencies to get their work done efficiently and inexpensively. Young families should be allowed the opportunity of being first time home buyers, free of excessive taxes. The current one-party governance in our state has failed to produce results with their power; we can do better. I’m asking for you to please help make Washington better by supporting me with your vote for State Senator. Thank you, Jesse Ashe. |
